Pauley Perrette spent most part of her growing years in moving and living at several places such as Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York and Los Angeles. Perrette who hated high school has surprisingly graduated with straight 'A's in criminal science, sociology and psychology from Valdosta State University, Valdosta in Georgia. After quitting grad school, Pauley Perrette moved to New York City and began working as a bartender. She worked in many bars in Manhattan including the 'Bitter End', the famous rock club.
It was while working at such a bar, Pauley found out from a coat-checking kid that a certain director who was looking for new faces was interested to cast her in his projects. So off she went to his office the next day wearing “my white Mohawk, shorts and knee-high Dr. Martens", Pauley recalls, "This director put me in music videos, commercials and short films. I did the "Secret" video with Madonna and "Killer" with George Michael." She has appeared in a Volkswagen Golf commercial for Volkswagen of America.
That was the beginning of Pauley Perrette's foray into television, films, and music videos. Perrette later headed to Los Angeles looking for greener pastures in acting.
